Jimmy Sutton


Born in 1966 and raised on Chicago's Southside Kenwood neighborhood, Jimmy's early musical influences include seeing Count Basie perform at his church fundraisers back in the 70's, and seeing The Ramones, Pretenders, and Clash in the late 70's and early 80's.

Sutton has been playing the doghouse bass since his high school days. Nominated twice by the Illinois Entertainer as the best bassist in Chicago, Sutton has recorded with highly acclaimed rockabilly, country and blues, and pop artists, including Ronnie Dawson, Andrew Bird, Koko Taylor, Willie Big Eyes Smith, Deke Dickerson and has shared the stage with a roster of greats, as well as co-founder of Chicago's Mighty Blue Kings.

Jason Smay

Born in 1978, Smay began playing shows at legendary Rochester jazz club Shep's Paradise at 17. Smay's primarily influences are Jazz, R&B, Rock drummers such as: Buddy Rich, Dino Danelli, Earl Palmer, Ringo Starr, Gene Krupa, Art Blakey, Philly Jo, Davey Tough, & Mitch Mitchell. Jason has previously toured and recorded with such artists as Los Straitjackets, Bo Diddly, Wanda Jackson, the Hi Risers, Dave Alvin, and Tom Petty guitarist Mike Campbell.
